When I looked at this item, I was excited. It looks like my old lp player, but it is just a hunk of junk. It runs on 4 AA's and comes with no ac adapter. If you find an adapter, you can leave the batteries in, but it wont act as a back up if the power fails. You can't set the alarm to radio or MP3, only the 8 highly annoying tones on the item (two of which are holiday themed). You can't read the time because the display contorts it if you don't look at it strait on. My ipod didn't fit it. I didn't check to look, and thats my fault, but it does not charge your ipod. The biggest thing too is that it is sold as an alarm clock, but on the box it calls it a portable speaker box. All in all it is not worth the $25 price I paid.
