I bought this model from a Walgreen's and after about a month or two, the "Dual Alarms" started working only intermittently.Some mornings they go off, some they don't.The worst part is that Emerson acknowledges it doesn't work (no doubt because they know these are crap), but will not fix it!In their crass reply to my email, they said, "Please refer to your local phone book under "electronics repair" for an independent service center to repair your Emerson product."
I kept the receipt for a month, then threw it away.Of course not too much later it starts messing up.So I try to get Emerson to repair or replace, and they say without a receipt that they won't repair it.Why do they need a receipt???The serial number proves it is Emerson's piece of junk.Furthermore, there is only a 3 month warranty on this crap anyway - which to me says they're telling you up front that it is garbage and probably going to break soon after you buy it.
Emerson is a bargain basement brand at best.The manager at Walgreen's was nice and replaced it; then he went on to say he had had many, many complaints about this unit.Emerson does not stand behind it's products, does not give good customer service and knows it is selling crap!
DON'T BUY EMERSON PRODUCTS!You have been warned.Good customer service is the key to customer retention.Of course a product that works doesn't hurt either.
