First the low down:Recommended as an iPod player with a bright blue clock, but not for its complex alarm and unreliable remote. I may return it.
Next the good news:
Impressive sound, convenient next station scan, iPod Nano second generation compatibility, white appleesque design and iPod controlling remote with many functions.
Now the bad news:
The set up for this thing takes forever. I had to use the instructions for everything. Successfully set up the time and presets, but not the alarm. It only has a few poorly labeled buttons on the unit with multiple functions for each depending on when, how many times and how long you hold them -- and good luck memorizing the formulas. Even the sleep timer is unnecessarily complex. The AM and FM wire antennas are annoying. The reception is only good, not great, with the wires crawling up your wall. The blue light lights up the whole room until you put it in standby mode with nothing playing.
The unit doesn't respond to the remote unless it is perfectly pointed. Some functions can only be done with the remote. All the remote buttons are the same shape. So they are hard to memorize or use in the dark.
