You won't have to worry about waking up on time because you'll never get to sleep; the LED display is so bright on low setting that it illuminates the whole room to the point it seems an alien abduction is in progress. All other aspects of this unit are fine, with the exception that you still have to reset the clock after unplugging/power failure, even with a 9V installed.
