JWIN ELECTRONICS JX-M10 AM/FM Pocket Radio Review

I couldn't find a Sony Walkman so I tried one of these. The appearance of this piece of junk is deceiving. It has a digital display however tuning the tuning knob is very crude, sticky and analog.

FM tuning bands are very broad and overlap allowing for considerable interference. AM sensitivity is very poor compared to my Sony Walkman headphone AM/FM radio and compared to the lost Sony Walkman pocket radio I hoped to replace. Ironically a wire antenna that plugs into the earphone socket is included but does ZERO for the AM band.

There are separate power on and power off buttons; dumb. An additional annoyance the power on button defaults to the AM band.

The most useless feature is the built in alarm clock. I can only imagine this piece of feature-itis was added to make up for the deficiency of this product in the area of its intended purpose.

jWIN Pocket AM/FM Alarm Clock - Silver (JXM10SIL) Review

You get what you pay for. That's still true. The station tuning button didn't work well. When I tune in for a station, the station number didn't show up correctly. The radio station that shows on the front window always screw up. I get some stations though. It would be good enough for those listening to a few stations (not radio surf) and stick with them. I bought it for the speaker feature. Not many small or tiny radios have the speaker function, most require a headphone. I give it a small credit for its overall small size and the decent sound that comes out of its tiny speaker.

Hummer Digital Auto-Scan Radio Review

Please don't waste your money on this cracker jack box toy! An idiot must have designed this so called radio. Put out a little more money and buy a Sony Walkman or a Sangean.

1. The earphone jack is not even a standard size jack so your stuck with those cheap awful sounding earbuds.
2. There is no on- off switch!!!! Can you believe this? You have to take your batteries out or they will run down.
3. You can't tune in to a station manually by using an up-down button. You only have a little scan button and it stops on whatever station it wants to. You have no say so in the matter!
4. The sound is awful- tinny with no bass at all. I don't think it is even in stereo because I could not distinquish any channel separation at all.

I made a mistake purchasing this little piece of garbage but maybe I can warn the rest of you --- keep shopping!

Pll Digital Tuning Am/fm Pocket Radio and Alarm Clock with Built-in Hi-fi Speakers Review

This is a good item if you are just interested in listing to the radio(talk shows ,baseball game and music). Channels are grounded and precise. The speaker sound is very clear, with adjustable sound volume. No need to use the headphones unless you want privacy.
Far superior to the JWIN JX-M3; I have both.
I'm just not sure what X is for in X-BBS, or the D is for in D-BBS or what the difference is between the JWIN JXM20ORG and this JWIN radio. They look exactly the same, but have a big price difference.

I bought two of these [Blue/Black/Silver version] because I wanted my daughters (ages 10 & 11) to be able to listen to radio without having to be "plugged-in" with headphones all the time. (I hate seeing people plugged-into iPods, MP3 players, cell phones, etc.) The radio has a neck strap, so my daughters can be a little fashionable wearing an electronic device as an accessory.

For a 1-inch speaker, the sound is pretty good. If you do happen to plug-in a set of headphones, the sound is excellent and in stereo.

We have had excellent durability with the radios. The two AAA batteries last quite a while. The clock and alarm work well, as does the digital tuning. Cool little radios for not much money!

OTHER OPTIONS: The analog-tuned Sony ICF-S10MK2 Pocket AM/FM Radio (approx. $10); or the larger and better sounding Sony ICF38 Portable AM/FM Radio (approx. $20) that runs on a built-in power cord (or batteries).
